Hey guys…..
I wanted to let all of you know, I am still reading the scripture, I’m just not getting the time to dive into things and write on my blog here.
I finished II Kings, Colossians, and now I’m in I Chronicles. I’ll try and keep you posted as much as I can.
Lately God has been moving and giving me re-assurance that I should be leading Worship, and doing Media Stuff for the high school Ministry. He is so Great, and Africa is next Year. Keep pursuing him!!!
- cheers

- Well I’m Back!! After a 12 day break I dove into the word of God again, and it felt good to hold the Word. I took a break because it was beginning to get harder and harder to read everyday, and I started to develop the mentality that this was something I had to get done. It started to feel like a job and less like it should. I was starting to skim through the word, and not desire to spend time with God. But, now I’m back after a short break and into II Kings once again!!
II Kings 14-16
Again, we see in these few short chapters that more and more Kings did evil in the eyes of the Lord than good. It seems to me that II Kings is a Book that accounts for the sin growth, and more and more people with power and money falling away from God. (Matthew 19:23)
- Jesus, thank you so, so much for being patient with me. I praise you for all of my blessings, and I ask that you would use Denise and I and our resources to serve you.
- Amen

II Kings 11-13
Reading lately has become more and more difficult. Jesus, I ask that you would help me. Help me stay focused, and help me to keep on pursuing you. I can’t do this by my self, and I’m only asking for passion in my heart to read your word, and grow closer to you. Although I do not feel like it, I want it.
Amen

II Kings 9-10
Good read today. I was on the roof top of our Apartment and it was so nice today. Close to 80 degrees, and had some nice down time with God. In these short chapters, we see that there still is a lot of death, pain, and people not following God. Funny how there is death and pain in the same Chapter as witchcraft and idolatry (II Kings 9:22-24)
- Jesus, thank you again for a nice day, and a day to relax. I ask that you would protect my knee today in my game, and I want to praise you for giving me the opportunity to play again. I ask that this time around, I am a Godly example to all those I play with. Remind me to live for you, and help me to grow closer to you.
Amen

II Kings 6-8
Today’s read was alright. One thing that stuck out to me was in Chapter 6:25, where we see another account of a severe famine. How were there so many famines back then with so much food today? Doesn’t make sense to me!
- Jesus, thank you for saving me today, and I pray deeply that you would cast away the enemy, and I would honor you, and only you!
Amen

The Book of II Kings
Chapters 1-5
We begin our Study in a new Old Testament Book, and in II Kings we see the first account of the Great Elijah.
II Kings Chapter 2, Elijah is taken up to Heaven. I would love this! Instintly in Heaven! WOW! No pain, no death! WOW!
- Jesus, Thank you for loving me! And thank you for blessing me. I have gotten off your path a little bit, and I have recognized it because of you! Thank you!
- Amen!

The Book of Philippians -
Paul, who is a servant of Christ, to the Church in Philippi. I love it how Paul always opens his letters with thanksgiving and praises, then proceeds to go and talk about their sinful dirty lives.
Phil 1:12, All of Paul’s letters to advance the Gospel
Phil 1:27, Great Passage!! God help me to live for the Gospel!
Phil 2:5, One of my favorites! Your attitude should be that of Jesus.
Phil 3:10-11, WOW!! Do you know God this way?? I know I have a long way to go, and father please help me to know Jesus in this way -
Phil 4:13, You can do all things through Christ! SO TRUE!!
- Jesus, Thank you for this day. I ask from my heart, that when fall comes, you would help me to balance my time, and give me the time to invest in you and the Ministry.
Amen!
